The Orangutan Appeal UK is a registered charity that provides support and funding as well as raises awareness on the rehabilitation and conservation of the orangutans. They are authorized to work on behalf of the famous Sepilok Orang-Utan Rehabilitation Centre.
The Sepilok Orang-Utan Rehabilitation Centre, located in the state of Sabah in the Malaysian part of Borneo was established in 1964 to rehabilitate orphaned orangutans back into the wild. The centre also strives to educate the public on conservation as well as conducts research on not only the orangutans, but also on other endangered species such as the rare and endangered rhinoceros.
Sarongutan supports the efforts of both the Orangutan Appeal UK and the Sepilok Orang-Utan Rehabilitation Centre. 10% of all profits from the sales of our products is donated to the Orangutan Appeal UK. We also strive to expand awareness on the plight of the orang-utans.
